Travel Folio
This quick travel folio is perfect for holding your summer vacation memorabilia and photos or to prepare ahead of time for the fall travel season. A wider comfortable size, a center pocket and two flaps give you a lot of options to make it your own. Make extra pockets, tucks or add some more flips to this easy folio. Make a little book for inside the center pocket to jot down your favorite memories and decorate as desired.
materials
What you’ll need:
1 12×12″ scrapbook paper (non directional is best)
Scoreboard or scoring tool
Scissors
Glue
The first score for this folio is at the horizontal fold of the paper at 6″. Turn the paper and score at 4″ and 8 1/2″. Cut from the right side along horizontal 6″ line to the 4″ score. Fold, burnish and glue as shown in the video. For ease, to maintain your direction keep your fold at the top as you glue your pocket.
Design the cover flaps to your liking. Some suggestions are to make pockets, folder style tucks or add another flip to one or both. This folio folds very flat. To ensure photos fit in the center pocket tape your bottom edge instead of gluing.
Fill and decorate as desired. The flaps can be embellished with some fussy cuts or die cuts if you want to leave them loose or more pockets can be added in various places. Keep this project on your list for those times you want the perfect size travel folio.
Happy paper crafting!
