Book Cover or Holder
Book cover or book holder? This design is versatile enough to be either by gluing the cover to make either a side pocket or top pocket. If you care to use a more traditional binding watch the video for tips on how to strengthen the back cover by adding pockets or a flip. This book cover design is roomy and offers plenty of options for making it your own. Two front pockets. Easy construction, learn once and make any size.
materials
What you’ll need:
One sheet 12×12″ scrapbook paper, medium weight or heavier. Double sided, non directional is better.
Scoreboard or scoring tool
Scissors
Glue
Begin by scoring your 12×12″ paper at 6″. Make a quarter turn and score again at 6″. This will give you four equal squares. Starting on the left cut to the center scoreline. Fold and glue as shown in the video.
Choose your preferred style, either cover or book holder. For a book holder glue the pockets as suggested or just tuck your booklet in the front pocket. For a book cover using traditional binding learn tips in the video to strengthen the back cover with a reinforcement, pockets or a flip. Fill and decorate as desired.
