Wax Paper Laminate Envelopes
A viewer request video making wax paper laminate faux envelopes using the sizzix machine. This is one of many wax paper laminate projects I’ve done. Wax paper is versatile and tactile lending itself to many styles and techniques. I like that it is not as glossy as laminate but is still protective.
This is a technique where it is best to get a feel for it yourself as there are a lot of variables in each person’s choices of materials especially when using a sizzix as a press. You might need a shim, you might not. Your glue might dry faster or slower. You might prefer wet glue (a very thin coat). Tip: napkins are a good place to start, they adhere to wax paper with a glue stick and zero fuss so try the napkin bag video here.
I’ve done an assortment of wax paper laminate projects using both glue and gluestick (gluestick is faster) such as adding metallic flakes, ice emboss, gold metallic hologram effects and antique mirror effect. I hope you’ll check them all out.
Happy paper crafting!
