Fun Brad Paperclips
These fun paperclips assemble fast using brads and simple shapes. Use them to adorn or to hold ephemera or notes in your journal or planner as they are functional. Pretty up and organize your assorted paper stacks in your office too.
You’ll just need some paper scraps (medium or heavyweight paper works best), assorted gradated punches, brads, paperclips, glue and something to hide your brad in the back if desired.
Don’t worry if you don’t have punches. You can make squares (1.5″ for largest square).
Hide the brad legs in the back with washi tape, a sentiment, another glued circle or sticker.
Some other ideas include:
- Use variety of flower shapes
- Dangle some fishtails, lace, fabric or ribbon to hide the paperclip (thread or tie on brad behind your front shape)
- Try different shapes, stars, hearts etc.
- Use decorator scissors to cut some funky flowers
- Layer silk flowers on top of your large circle instead of paper
- Use designer brads
- Try heavy vellum or acetate
Make a few collections of these fun brad paperclips and see how many combinations you can come up with.
Happy paper crafting!
