Beginner Wax Paper Lamination

Enjoy this fool proof and kid friendly method faux lamination trick to make beautiful bookmarks, journal cards or other craft projects. All that is needed are napkins, a file folder or card stock weight base, any size, a single ply of any napkin, white all purpose gluestick and a brayer, soft cork or the smooth top of you gluestick to adhere. An easy craft for everyone no matter your skill level, budget or style!

It is foolproof because it is very easy to adhere glue and wax paper to a single ply of napkin on a sturdy base requiring only a soft touch to make sure everything is well adhered. Apply glue to your wax paper to avoid tearing the napkin or be extra gentle if applying glue to the napkin instead.

Separate your napkins before beginning and remove your piece from any sticky area immediately as you adhere each layer. Allow to dry and trim the excess.

An easy and inexpensive bible school, summer camp crafts or a rainy day project for kids. Look for fun designs in the party section of your local store or thrift shop.

You are limited only by your source of napkins from themed to simple patterns or designs no matter your style. Mix, match or use scraps and collage your own designs. Have fun!

Blank or White Ply Napkin:
Follow the same steps to apply to your base and you can also stamp on the blank ply of your napkin with any waterproof ink to make your own designs if you don’t have napkins with designs.

Happy paper crafting!
