Collage Book
A preview of my finished collage book that I began in early winter 2023 and finished in April 2025. The design was inspired by Cat Hand and it is a great way to overcome page fright when faced with two blank pages as one page is a from scrapbook paper so you already have a starting point to begin working on your collage.
It is made from packaging that was covered with a paper bag and has a collage on the front. I later added the tabs, a front pocket for holding a matchbook ephemera keeper and a belly band for holding larger pieces of scrap paper for grab and go collaging.
My collages usually began with gradated size paper scraps so I could easily find and add focal points whether die cuts, stickers or fussy cuts. I gradually added elements until the page was complete. The few unfinished pages can still be collaged and I added some decorative paper or illustrations to those for visual interest.
It has been a very relaxing collage book that began as my take five book and I enjoyed working in it.
