What you’ll need:
1 12″x12″ double sided scrapbook paper cut to 6″x12″
or 2 4″x12″ pieces
scoreboard or scoring tool
glue
paper punch for notch
You’ll need two 6″x12″ pieces of scrapbook paper. Cut your paper properly if using a directional design. Begin by placing one 6×12″ piece of your scrapbook paper at the 12″ side on your scoreboard and score at 1 1/5″, 5 1/2″ and 9 1/2″ and then repeat with the other piece. Fold, burnish, glue and assemble as shown in the video tutorial.
You can fold the first pocket to be inside or outside the book. You can also eliminate the second pocket and create flips if you prefer. Fill and embellish as desired.
Tips:
You can notch the two small pockets if desired. An envelope or pocket/s that holds a card attached to the first flap would be a way to keep the flap more secure by weighing it down or just tuck a tag or card in the smaller pocket on the right to keep the opposite flap in place. You can also create a closure of your choice.
The simplicity of this one page wonder makes it ideal for holiday creating. Create a bunch in different styles and sizes and simplify any season.
Happy paper crafting!
